The Union Home Ministry has taken major action against the demonstrations of Khalistani supporters outside the Indian Embassy in London and those who insulted the country’s flag. On the orders of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Special Cell of Delhi Police has registered a case against Khalistani and his supporters who protested in front of the Indian Embassy. A case has been registered against these Khalistan supporters under Indian Penal Code (IPC), UAPA and PDPP Act. A special team has been constituted in the Special Cell to investigate the matter. A senior officer of the Special Cell has confirmed the registration of the FIR.

A senior officer of the Special Cell said that the Ministry of External Affairs had written a letter to the Union Home Ministry to take action after the demonstration at the Indian Embassy in London. On this, the Union Home Ministry had ordered the Delhi Police to take appropriate legal action. Delhi Police has registered a case under relevant sections of IPC, UAPA and PDPP. The Special Cell of Delhi Police has started the investigation. The senior officer said that on the radar of the Delhi Police, those protesting outside the Indian Embassy are those people who are citizens of India and are involved in anti-national activities while living abroad. There is a possibility of cancellation of visa of such accused.

A senior police officer said that the Special Cell has taken some videos of the protest. These videos are being watched. It is seen in the video that which Indian citizen was protesting in support of Khalistanis in London. Delhi Police has said that some Indians are also involved in this case, so action will be taken against them.

Delhi Police will take the help of Interpol for this. On March 19, a crowd of Khalistan supporters demonstrated outside the Indian Embassy in London. During this, Khalistan supporters tried to forcefully pull down the tricolor flag on the Indian High Commission. India had given a sharp reaction to the insult of the tricolor. After which India summoned the British diplomat in Delhi and demanded an explanation on the security of the Indian High Commission.
